Young lovers caught between warring street gangs and their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence, and prejudice, make West Side Story one of the most heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time. Laurents' book remains powerful, poignant, and timely and the songs by Bernstein and Sondheim are widely regarded as among the best ever written (Somewhere, Tonight, Maria). This landmark musical takes to the streets of downtown Lansing in partnership with Downtown Lansing, Inc.
